About Us

The Minnesota Environmental Partnership (MEP) is a coalition of more than 80 Minnesota environmental and conservation organizations working together to protect and restore Minnesota's lakes, rivers, streams, forests, natural areas, parks and trails. Together, MEP’s member organizations represent more than 450,000 Minnesotans.

Incorporated in 1998 as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, MEP’s mission is to strengthen the effectiveness of the Minnesota environmental and conservation community in protecting and restoring the state’s Great Outdoors. It counts among its members the state’s leading environmental and conservation organizations, whose leaders understand the power and productivity that comes from joining forces and working together toward a common vision.

Thank you for your continued support to protect Minnesota’s lakes, rivers, streams, prairies, forests, and our Great Outdoors. Your calls, letters, and emails to your legislators and the Governor helped us claim some victories this year!

Though the 2010 Minnesota legislative session produced mixed results for Minnesota’s clean energy and Great Outdoors future, our work does not stop here.

We need your help to pass strong environmental policies next year! We need to hold our elected officials accountable and make certain these issues are highlighted in the November Election.
