Keep up the pressure on our elected officials to protect our Great Outdoors!
Thank you for your continued support to protect Minnesota’s lakes, rivers, streams, prairies, forests, and our Great Outdoors. Your calls, letters, and emails to your legislators and the Governor helped us claim some victories this year!
Though the 2010 Minnesota legislative session produced mixed results for Minnesota’s clean energy and Great Outdoors future, our work does not stop here.
We need your help to pass strong environmental policies next year! We need to hold our elected officials accountable and make certain these issues are highlighted in the November Election.
What can you do?
Make sure to attend or watch candidate debates this summer and fall and ask tough questions of those seeking to represent you. And remember to vote your values when you vote in August (Aug. 10 Primary Election) and November (Nov. 2 General Election). Visit the website of the League of Women Voters Education Fund to find information about the candidates running in your area and scheduled debates.
And share information with candidates! With your help this legislative session, the Minnesota Environmental Partnership kept Minnesota on the path to a clean energy future with more wind and solar – moving away from dirty fuels such as coal and nuclear. Now you can share information about clean energy jobs with political candidates running for office this fall and ask them how they’ll help ensure a clean energy future. For more information, check out the Minnesota 2010 Clean Energy website.
